WHAT'S A "LENS-SENSOR" LUT? My theory is that the only way to control your output is to use CUSTOM SETTINGS (& LUTs) for each lens-sensor combination. The reason is the CONTRAST, SHARPNESS and COLOR of light passing through each lens is different, and so is each sensor...For more details , check out this VIDEO this BLOG post, or this PODCAST episode. These corrected settings improve the dynamic range and color accuracy and leave just a minor tweak for the LUT. I'm not sure why this Nikon lens was so different when used WITHOUT an optical adapter (i.e. not a focal reducer) but it was fun!
